Jace | Tulsa Birth Photographer

This is THE most meaningful session I have ever had the privilege of shooting. This will be lengthy but it will make your heart swell with love.
I met Rachel, a GYN/ONC RN, about 3-4 years ago when we both worked for the same Doctor in different locations. Our friendship started off as a working relationship and we instantly hit it off. Soon after I got to photograph her with her amazing husband and their gorgeous daughter, Aubrianna. Not long after I was diagnosed with a large fibroid (benign uterine tumor) around the same time Rachel was told she would not be able to have anymore children. Any woman that has suffered through either of these diagnoses knows how devastating they can be. I credit Rachel for being one of my rocks and carrying me through one of the hardest times in my life as we both suffered through a kind of pain no one should ever have to endure. Long after my surgery was over Rachel and I went to lunch and she told me the exciting news that her and her hubby had made the decision to adopt!! I asked Aubrianna where her new sibling would be coming from and she said, “My Mommy’s heart”. YEAH. She is THAT amazing 🙂 Fast forward a few months and Rachel is PREGNANT!!!! A genuine miracle. No parents are more deserving of another child that Rachel and her little family. I wasn’t allowed to be in the room for the birth as Mr. Jace came into this world via c-section. However, I was there for a much more important moment. Rachel asked me to photograph Aubrianna meeting her little brother for the first time. Needless to say…..I was sobbing my from the depths of my soul on this miraculous day.
